A

C

The hierarchical classification system Etsy uses to organize listings. Choosing the right category helps buyers find your products through browse pages and filters.

Conversion Rate

The percentage of shop visitors who make a purchase. A higher conversion rate indicates more effective listings.

Search Engine Optimization specific to Etsy's internal search algorithm. Involves optimizing titles, tags, descriptions, attributes, and images to rank higher in Etsy search results.

Words and phrases that buyers use to search for products. Effective keyword usage in titles, tags, and descriptions is the foundation of Etsy SEO.

L

Listing

A single product page on Etsy. Each listing includes a title, description, images, pricing, shipping details, tags, and attributes.

Long-tail Keywords

Specific, multi-word search phrases (e.g., "personalized gold name necklace" instead of "necklace"). Long-tail keywords face less competition and often convert better.

M

Mockup

A realistic preview of how a product looks in context (e.g., a t-shirt design shown on a model). EasyNest's Design Studio helps create mockups from your product images.

O

T

Taxonomy

Etsy's structured category system. Each listing must be assigned a taxonomy ID that classifies the product type (e.g., Jewelry > Necklaces > Pendant Necklaces).

Title

The name of your listing, up to 140 characters. The title is the single most important factor for Etsy SEO. Place your most important keywords at the beginning.
